Poem by Billy Collins William J. ("Billy") Collins (born March 22, 1941) is an American poet who served two terms as the 44th Poet Laureate of the United States, from 2001 to 2003. In his home state, Collins has been recognized as a Literary Lion of the New York Public Library (1992) and selected as the New York State Poet for 2004. Pierre Jalbert, composer
Pierre Jalbert served as Composer-in-Residence with the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra from 2002 - 2005 and is currently Associate Professor of Composition and Theory at Rice University's Shepherd School of Music in Houston. He has received numerous awards for his compositions, including the Rome Prize, the BBC Masterprize, a Guggenheim fellowship, BMI and ASCAP Awards, a Society of Composer's Award, and the Bearns Prize in Composition.

Curtis Fox is a veteran audio producer with deep roots in public radio. In the 1990s, he was senior producer of Bridges: A Liberal/Conservative Dialogue, a nationally-distributed weekly talk show. He was a staff producer on PRI’s The Next Big Thing, where he produced everything from comedy and radio drama to cultural journalism and personal essays. He also independently produced a limited series of nationally-distributed history programs and full-length documentaries, including last year’s award-winning documentary on Walt Whitman. He remains involved in public radio while working primarily in the emerging podcasting marketplace.
