Grand Prize Winner of the Fischoff International Competition.
Lloyd-Carr Harris String Quartet

McGill University, Quebec, Canada.
Haydn's Quartet No.41, the `Quinten` will be performed as well as Hugo Wolf's Italian Serenade in G Major and Beethoven's the `Razumovsky'.

The Maia String Quartet, with John Bruce Yeh, guest clarinetist, featuring works by Brahms, Haydn, and a quintet premiere by Vivian Fung commissioned by Music in the Loft. This concert is dedicated to the memory of Ted Shen.

Nuiko Wadden, harp, winner of the 2005 Minnesota Orchestra (WAMSO) Competition, playing Britten and a MITL-commissioned Pierre Jalbert premiere, and Takemitsu and Ibert with Claire Chase, flute.

Pianist, Chu-Fang Huang, recent winner of the Cleveland Piano Competition and a finalist in the Van Cliburn Competition will perform Haydn's sonata in E Major, Four Scarlatti sonatas, Ravel La Valse, Vivian Fung's toccata and Liszt sonata in B.

November 20

his is one of the top competitions, and her win carries prizes totaling $54,000.
She was also one of 6 finalists in the recent Van Cliburn competition.

An award-winning pianist, violinist and composer, Conrad Tao gave his first public recital at age four and hasn’t slowed down since. With performances at the World Piano Pedagogy Conference and the Aspen

Music Festival under his belt, today Tao is enrolled in Julliard’s pre-college division, where he studies both piano and violin.

Cellist Gabriel Cabezas accomplishments suggest the talent of someone twice his age. A member of the BAM Quartet, which won the bronze medal in the Junior Division of the Fischoff Chamber Music Competition, Cabezas has performed with the Midwest Young Artists Symphony Orchestra and recently won the Walgreens National Concerto Competition. He is also the Jr. Winner of this year's Sphinx competition.
