Euclid Quartet

The Euclid Quartet has captivated audiences from Carnegie Hall to school classrooms and is the only American quartet to win a top prize at the prestigious Osaka International Chamber Music Competition since 1993. The Euclid Quartet will perform works by Dvorak and composer-in-residence Patrick Zimmerli.

Inna Faliks, piano

Friday, October 21, 8pm
Sunday, October 23, 3pm

Inna Faliks has been praised for her "poetry and panoramic vision" (Washington Post) and described as "a delight to hear, riveting passion and playfulness" (Baltimore Sun). Ms. Faliks will play music by Chopin, Liszt, Schubert, Sofia Gubaidulina, and Augusta Read Thomas.

Lincoln Trio

Sunday, November 13, 3pm

Praised for their "joy of sheer technical ability, unanimity of phrasing and beautiful blended tone", the Lincoln Trio has become Chicago's most celebrated chamber ensemble. They will be playing Dvorak and a work by composer-in-residence Patrick Zimmerli.

Belsky/Maxwell Piano Duo

The piano four-hands duo of Svetlana Belsky and Jennifer Maxwell debuted with a standing-room-only performance in 2006 and since then have been commended as "artistically attuned to one another" and for "what two women can do with one piano." The Belsky/Maxwell Duo will perform a world premiere by composer-in-residence Patrick Zimmerli, and works by Rachmaninoff, Schubert and Stravinsky.

Winners of the Jules M. Laser Chamber Music Competition

Music in the Loft is pleased to announce this year's winner of the Jules M. Laser Chamber Music Competition - the highly-talented Quartet Ventoso! This energetic string quartet will perform a recital of works by composers spanning from Haydn to Shostakovich. The concert will also feature a solo performance by Quartet Ventoso cellist, Johannes Gray.
